By Reza Ganjavi

DISCLAIMER: I am not a political activist, or a political scientist, and I do not belong to any political party, and I have never belonged to a political party in my life. I am an ordinary citizen, a philosopher who loves truth, and a writer who likes to state what-is, and call a spade a spade.

Reza Pahlavi's fanatic followers have a nasty ignorant habit of calling anyone who criticizes the incompetent king-wanna-be, as a "leftist", "a communist", "an agent for Islamic Republic", and other such accusations. For the record, I am NONE of those things -- I don not belong to ANY group or ideology and I do NOT represent anyone, and I have no hidden agenda. My agenda is to call a spade a spade!

His fanatic followers totally ignore the fact that Reza Pahlavi's problem is himself, his own incompetence, his own lack of experience, apparent shortcoming in character and intelligence, and lack of what it takes to be a leader, and the arrogance to not step down knowing and having admitted he is not a leader.

~~~
The reason I am writing this opinion piece on him is because I sense a great deal of hypocrisy in him, and a great deal of pretense, and because he is a public figure and has many followers, I sense an ethical issue in that hypocrisy and misrepresentation of his skills.
Reza Pahlavi has been called "a leader from the back" by several political pundits; a person who doesn't have the courage, strength, might to be a leader in the front -- so he effectively says "you go, and if you succeed, throw a red carpet for me, and I'll come and become your king".
And I believe he is misleading his followers.
His followers can be categorized into a few groups:
1) fanatic die hard thuggish followers . They have been termed as "shaah-ollahi" (as resemblance to "hezb-ollahi" or die hard fanatic believers of the far right Islamist faction -- the word literally means "party of God"). Thuggish in the sense that they are willing to disrupt political rallies; are willing to even engage in violence, to quash any voice that challenges their "god", Reza Pahlavi.
2) fanatic followers who are not willing to engage in violent behavior. Many of these people like Reza Pahlavi because they are "shaah parast" (worshipers of monarch) and like Reza Pahlavi's father Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, and his father Reza Pahlavi whom many attribute the modernization of Iran to him -- and to this day, most of the amazing architectural masterpieces of Iran were built by Reza Shah, such as the Ministry of Justice building, which I went to often as a child, with my father who had a stellar career in law, including being a judge of judges.
3) ordinary people who are not informed about how incompetent Reza Pahlavi is, and by default look up to him as a symbol of what they consider to be Iran's glorious past -- pre-revolution, where the national currency, Toman was 7 per dollar, and now it is 65,000 to a dollar -- a time when you could exchange Iranian money in European and American banks, vs. today that the national currency is considered as one of the weakest in the entire world, if not the weakest. But a time that also had fundamental problems such as corruption. Today there is also corruption at a wide-spread degree.  I am not going into comparing the current regime with Shah's regime. It's enough to say that the Shah's regime had serious problems, and that today there are even more serious problems, such as the economy, which was booming 50 years ago, but today has been on a downward spiral because of lack of harmonious relationship with the free world, and widespread corruption which has led to massive theft of public treasury, and an array of social and economic issues which have negatively impacted people's quality of life.
In summary, many people look positively on the Shah's regime, and because Reza Pahlavi is next in lineage, they have a delusional idea that Reza Pahlavi can take the country back to the "golden years", while the bitter reality is Reza Pahlavi is utterly incompetent and unintelligent, except for being able to talk, which anyone could if they had the platform he had, and the kind of money he had, and the celebrity status due to his father and grandfather.
But Reza Pahlavi has been a major let down for his followers. He's spoken for over 40 years, and not done a thing. During the "Mahsa revolution", various political factions came together outside Iran to form an opposition committee. Reza Pahlavi reportedly blew up that effort because he is too incompetent, unintelligent and arrogant and egotistic. It was during that time that it became evident to me that he is utterly incompetent, for a number of reasons, including the fiasco of a petition that started for people to twist his arm to step up as a leader. He finally agreed, but you cannot expect a turtle to fly, and he did not.
Here are a variety of pieces I've written on the topic, because as a philosopher and writer, I perceive his great hypocrisy and I have to call a spade a spade, when I come across yet another incompetent, unintelligent talk by him which shows how delusional and dangerous he is. Ignorance is dangerous when combined with arrogance (and mother's money).
~~~

Reza Pahlavi is probably the most incompetent political figure in the history of Iran. A man who just knows how to talk. He's never held a job which required accountability. He's constantly blamed his shortcomings on others. He's said he does not like monarchy but he's willing to be a king -- what hypocritical view. He's said he's not a leader, but wants to lead -- rather, lead from the back as some political pundits have point out -- and they've rightly said Mr. Pahlavi is like an airplane which has occupied the runway but is not flying and doesn't let other aircraft fly either.

Pundits have said as long as Mr. Pahlavi is in the political scene nothing will happen. The reason is clear: he has a celebrity status with some devout, hardcore fanatic followers who blindly follow him because of his father and grandfather.

A book can be written about Mr. Pahlavi's incompetence. He was asked what his plan is to get to the transition, since he always talks about after the transition. His answer was "it depends on how you define plans" which means he has no clue what planning is since he's never had to plan and execute to success, since he never had a job.

He seems to be dependent on those who fund him, including his mother. He seems to be trying to fulfill a role he is utterly unfit for.

I guarantee, he will NEVER be a king because he is utterly incompetent, and majority of Iranians have seen through him and do not want him.

No, I am NOT a political person. I'm an experienced project/program manager who can detect incompetence from a mile away. And I'm a writer and philosopher and when I see such hypocrisy and incompetence in someone combined with utter arrogance, I have to call a spade a spade.

Any Iranian or non-Iranian who is counting on Reza Pahlavi, is wasting their time. Turtles can't fly.

~~~
I am not a political person and have no political affiliations or engagements. What interests me as a philosopher is the role of Reza Pahlavi in promoting a revolution which will never happen as long as he is on the scene because of the dynamics including his incompetence, being a puppet of his mother and others he tries to please, his contradictory obscure stance and changing assertions, his thuggish followers, and his being a beneficiary of the status quo, i.e., a non-revolution.
So this portrays Reza Pahlavi as an enormous hypocrite and his position as enormously hypocritical. Therefore he's wasting his time and everyone else's time while scoring himself a place in history as the king of hypocrisy and incompetence who benefited from being a leader-wanna-be (oh wait – he said he doesn’t want to be a leader but does but is not competent to be one).
I think Mr. X is wrong that Reza Pahlavi doesn't want a revolution. Mr. X says Reza Pahlavi doesn't want a revolution because he is profiting from his current situation without any accountability without any responsibility etc.
I agree with Mr. X that Reza Pahlavi is profiting from the status quo and I think as he has said himself he doesn't like accountability and responsibility and he does not want to become a king. But that does not mean that he doesn't want a revolution – it’s just that he will NEVER be able to be instrumental in any revolution because he is so bi-orze and incompetent. He has no idea he has no competence no capability no guts no genes no charisma no leadership skills and has never worked in his life in a job that required accountability as most jobs do -- and he has no idea what it takes to get things done for the same reason.
I agree with the other gentleman that Reza Pahlavi should make it very clear that he does not want to be a king and end this entire discussion about this stupid referendum which as Mr. X said will never happen because it's just not realistic, but Reza Pahlavi being so incompetent and not having any idea how to get anything done since that there will just magically be a referendum.
Note that when Reza Pahlavi was asked how to get from here to there what is the plan, his answer basically was that it depends on how you define a plan, which basically means he has no clue.
And I agree with Mr. X that Reza Pahlavi is a moronic non-personality who is like a weak puppet played by his mother and others whom he has never had the courage to stand up to because he's a coward and probably because he depended on them financially etc.
It all boils down to Reza Pahlavi's incompetence, lack of courage and lack of intelligence, in my opinion. Talk is cheap. He can talk well. But turtles can’t fly, and he’s even said it: leave me alone, let me live my fun wealthy life.
Therefore he sits there on the runway and doesn't fly and doesn't let others fly. Therefore he will go in history as the biggest fool in the history of Iran.
~~~

You are wasting your time because you "leader" is a leader from the back. Reza Pahlavi is utterly incompetent. What is it going to take for you to see it?!  Don't call me names. I don't belong to any parties or ideologies. I just call a spade a spade. An incompetent man will never achieve anything, as he has not all his life: he's just talked and spent mommy's money. He has no idea how to get anything done. He doesn't have the experience and competence, and fanatic followers like you make it doubly sure that this effort will go to waste. Look at how the Mahsa movement turned out due to the role of your loser incompetent "leader", Shahzadeh!

~~~
Effort is not results. Every experienced project manager, and executive who is accountable knows.
~~~

I don't belong to any groups or factions or ideologies. Just an independent human. Please help Mr. Pahlavi to see some basic facts. That he's not a leader; he a "leader from the back" as some analysts have put it. And his "fake leadership" prompts some thuggish followers to act in the preposterous way they've been. A fake leader gives people fake hope. Shahzadeh will never do anything effective because he doesn't have the competence, courage, etc. - he knows that by repeatedly saying, yet he stays in the limelight as the fake leader. Instead he can use his celebrity status to do something meaningful with his life than being a fake leader who has "mardomo gozaashte sare kaar".  His respected mother and others around him are helping him maintain his fake leadership status which by the presence of the thugs he enables, are fooling people. This is a good depiction of what Mr. Pahlavi is, politically: (forget who is saying it - look at what Mr. Pahlavi says himself).

~~~
Reza Pahlavi is one heck of an incompetent loser who's wasting everybody's time and giving people false hope because he will NEVER do anything because he's utmost incompetent, he's too arrogant and unintelligent to step aside and explicitly inform his fanatic thuggish followers about that decision. So the drama will continue and he will never do anything meaningful for Iran. Do NOT count on Reza Pahlavi.
~~~

Competence is not a miracle! Some people are competent, some like Reza Pahlavi are utterly incompetent and have no idea how to get anything done. He's also dumb as a rock.

~~~
Reza Pahlavi is one heck of a useless guy. Incompetent, inexperienced, clueless, arrogant, and as we say in Persian "mardomo gozaashte sare kaar".
~~~

Biggest loser and most incompetent person in Iran's political history, in my opinion. He'll go on till the end of his life issuing messages like this on every occasion and doing nothing because he's so incompetent, while fooling people to believe he's doing something.

~~~
Reza Pahlavi is NOT a leader -- he's a disaster in incompetence, lack of experience, lack of intelligence, combined with arrogance. Talk is cheap and Reza Pahlavi just does that. Talk. Babble for 40+ years, while his maamaan joon funds his lavish lifestyle. He's never had to go to work. He has no clue what he's talking about. Mr. X repeats the same nonsense: after the transition blah blah while they have no idea what transition means and how to get there. A reporter asked Mr. Pahlavi about his plans for making the transition happen. His incompetent answer was, depends on how to define plans!
~~~

Talk is cheap. Reza Pahlavi deceives people of Iran by giving them false hopes while he's too arrogant to acknowledge that he is utterly incompetent, unintelligent, cowardly - a leader from the back - a non-leader who admits to not being a leader, not wanting to act, wanting to live his comfortable life, yet is out there occupying center stage to please his ego, and to please his mom, so he can continue receive funds from mommy, while fooling people into believing he's a leader. Shah-zadeh is so utterly confused, cluttered, arrogant, delusional, that he himself declared he is against monarchy, but is remaining as candidate as the only choice for monarchy, despite himself being against it, with the excuse that maybe some day people will want to put such an incompetent, useless, unintelligent coward as the leader of Iran. It will NEVER happen. He passed his tests and failed again and again, while the hardcore, fanatic thuggish followers brutally attack anyone else whom they view as a threat to their plastic, incompetent monarch who will ruin Iran if he ever becomes a leader, by slipping right into a for-life dictator with an immensely corrupt and dictatorial regime following. These are just my opinions as a 100% non-political, independent person who has no affiliations whatsoever to any groups or ideologies.

~~~
What a shameless fool who is so arrogant to not recognize he is utterly useless as a fake leader who is a coward, inexperienced, incompetent, never had to work for his money, funded by his mommy, and all he knows to do is to "wang", like a cry baby who can't talk or walk but can just make noise. It became very evident during the Mahsa revolution that Reza Pahlavi is worse than a <> -- at least a donkey can haul weight up the mountain but this <> can't do anything but to rant. Talk is cheap. And he ain't got nothing else, except a bunch of thuggish followers, and other more moderate followers who can't think critically and see for themselves that Reza Pahlavi is USELESS and appears dumb as a second coat of paint -- just watch his childhood videos where the Shah calls him to go to him -- and he walks away like a robot.
---
Mr. Pahlavi is utterly incompetent. Talk is cheap. 40+ years of talk. No job. No accomplishments. No accountability. BBC reporter was right that people of Iran who are waiting on Mr. Pahlavi are wasting their time. Competence matters! Just a couple of many examples to illustrate the point: a reporter asked him, you keep talking about after the transition -- what is the plan to make the transition happen? Mr. Pahlavi's response was "it depends on how you define plan" -- it doesn't. Any professional who has done planning knows what planning means. It's to get from A to B. He has no plan because he has no competence, and his level of intelligence doesn't seem to be too high.
He says he is against monarchy and prefers a republic. Yes he's never had the humility to step down from the role his mother and people around him, including some hard-core fanatic followers, put him in. That means he's weak. He can't stand up for his own opinion. And it shows he's arrogant, because he's not willing to step down despite his own claims, on multiple occasions that he's not a leader. He sees it in himself that he's not a leader. He's weak, he lacks the courage, vision, experience, competence, character to be a leader. Turtles cannot fly no matter how many people want them to.
To cover up for his incompetence, notice how he's always blaming others for his shortcomings. His favorite line is "the enemy". Sounds familiar?
I don't belong to any party. I want what is best for people of Iran, and I am very clear that Mr. Pahlavi is just one big waste of time, a disgrace, a let down, and not a solution. Address my points if you like to reply, civilly, which is hard for many of the fanatic followers of Mr. Pahlavi who are not any better than any fanatic followers of anyone.
~~~

Mr. Pahlavi is an incompetent, useless, unintelligent, gutless, who has fooled himself and people of Iran for over 40 years, into believing he's a leader. He has no traces whatsoever in leadership. Talking is not leadership. Leadership from behind is not leadership: "you go I follow if it works out". He has even admitted he has no leadership talent nor desire to be a leader but keeps at it to please his mom I suppose who is reportedly funding his life in his 60's, and to please the fanatic thugs whose horrific actions are well documented. Mr. Pahlavi is not dangerous because he's incredibly incompetent, but he's very arrogant and irrational. He says he prefers republic to monarchy but he doesn't pull out. As someone said he's like an airplane occupying space on the runway and doesn't fly and doesn't let others fly. Any prospects of him and his thuggish fanatic dangerous gang gaining control of Iran is Zilch, but if they ever do, it will be a corrupt dictatorship the like of which we've seen many times in history. Wake the hell up Mr. Pahlavi. Your one and only asset is your celebrity status which you could have utilized positively but you do not have the intelligence to do so. Otherwise you're a liability, a disgrace, and will go down in history of Iran as one of the worst political (non) leaders.

~~~
You are a fool to hold your breath for Reza Pahlavi. The runner best formulated it: "ahmagh, bi-orzeh, bi-bokhar" = stupid, incompetent, weak. And what his fanatic followers have done in absolutely thuggish behavior is a total disgrace to people of Iran. Nobody wants an idiot, surrounded by a bunch of thugs, to be in power. No, I am NOT an agent of anybody. I belong to no political party. But I'm an experienced project/program manager and I can detect an incompetent, clueless person like Reza Pahlavi. In the course of the last year, he showed his true face. He will go down in history as one of the worst political figures in the history of Iran. In this video, it's well documented how people like me who are against him, are not agents, but people who can call a spade a spade.
~~~

A breath of fresh air, documenting about how incompetent Reza Pahlavi is -- I don't belong to any political party but one thing is VERY CLEAR to me -- and the sports star quoted on the video said it best -- that Reza Pahlavi is "shahe ahmagh bibokhar biorzeh" (which means, the king who is stupid, weak, and incompetent".

~~~
I watched a video of Mr. Pahlavi playing drums with Faramarz Aslani. What a let down. After all these years. He truly sucks as a drummer. He was tense. But just as in his political failure career, he made a lot of noise but no substance: hit the cymbals to say "I am" but sounded like an amateur, after 50 years of playing the drums!
~~~

Now watch that useless Pahlavi go in hibernation until there’s some news and he comes out blah blahing and go back to hibernation until people move and he comes out pretending to be a leader, from behind.

~~~
Terrified of what? I don't belong to any political group or ideology and have no blind belief or fanatic ideas to try to protect. If you read my article, that's made very clear. This is not a personal matter. I'm calling a spade a spade. Reza Pahlavi has proven to be utterly incompetent, and lacking the traits, character, talents, aptitude, motivation, skills, competence, experience, of the leader his mother and followers and himself have set him to up to wanna-be.  I say it as I see it. History will prove who's right but when it comes to detecting competence, my experience of decades as a program/project manager  might give you a hint that I know what I'm talking about...
~~~

Talk is cheap. You keep talking about "pas az jomhooriye eslaami" but when they asked what your plan was you said it depends on how you define a plan, which really means you have absolutely no clue, which makes sense given you've never held a job in which you were accountable, and had to plan and deliver. All your talking despite such incompetence is just "mardomo gozaashtan sare kar". History will not judge you kindly. ~~~

You can name a gzillion people who want Reza Pahlavi to be the king or leader or whatever; it doesn't change the fact that he is utmost incompetent. A turtle cannot fly even if a billion people want it to !!    Pahlavi is not his father or grandfather. He's a spoiled incompetent guy who can just talk. Read my article for more details. Google this phrase "Reza Pahlavi, the incompetent leader from behind who will NEVER be The King of Iran" to find my article. YT doesn't allow links to be posted.

~~~
"Foolish is not looking at the heart of society" -- I think the majority of Iranians  who don't want the current regime think very poorly of Reza Pahlavi. The heart of the society went through the Mahsa period and saw how Pahlavi sat there twiddling his thumb because he's utmost incompetent. He was asked what his plan is, and he said it depends on how you define a place - because he has no clue whatsoever how to get anything done -- he just knows how to babble -- and counts on fanatics like you to keep feeding his ego that one day the red carpet will be thrown for him. Never! Because turtles can't fly.
~~~

haha scared of what? your assessment of my psyche is just as off as your fanatic belief in an incompetent man whom for 45 years has just babbled, and never gone to work in a job where he is accountable and has to deliver, for a single day, and has no idea how to get anything done, and what it takes to get anything done, and realizes he is incompetent but for the sake of his mother and his fanatic followers, he arrogantly takes the entire political spac, which ensures that nothing can happen as long as your king wanna be Reza Pahlavi, so in effect, that which you are opposed to is actually strengthened by the opposite being so incompetent. Turtles don't and won't fly, no matter how much you think they should, and how much you like them to fly,, and how many times you say long live the king wanna be who will never be king because of his incompetence. Read my article. Google: "Reza Pahlavi, the incompetent leader from behind who will NEVER be The King of Iran".

~~~
Dear  <>  -- that's a delusional idea of the incompetent leader from the back, Mr. Reza Pahlavi, who has no clue how to get anything done because he's never had a job in which he's accountable, and for other reasons I describe in the article.   His idea that Iranian people will decide the type of regime in a referendum is yet another sign that he lives in a delusional la-la-land. He has no idea that getting from the present state to the referendum is a major challenge that he absolutely has no idea how to get there.
~~~

That's a leader from the back: says some delusional ideas and says others should execute it.  In Rome they asked him how do you want to get to the "gozaar" - what is your plan. He said it depends on how you define a plan, because he has no idea or idea or experience or competence.

~~~
Furthermore, if the price is paid for the society to get to that point, that vote is a moot point: monarchy means Reza Pahlavi -- and he's against monarchy anyway -- but being a horribly weak thinker who goes with the wind, with the movements of the puppet masters like his mother and fanatic followers (because he's NOT an independent thinker, and not a leader) -- he says ok, if they twist his harm he will be king.
~~~

His weaknesses and incompetence are so obvious if one just opens one's eyes. But people prefer blind belief because it's more comfortable to hope that some day he will do something. He will NEVER! At best he would be a puppet of foreign governments but I don't think that will happen either because they know what Reza Pahlavi is about, inside out, and how utterly incompetent he is.

~~~
People are wasting their time hanging their hat on Mr. Pahlavi. He'll go down in history as the most useless, incompetent, leader-wanna-be in Iranian history.
~~~

Typical for a fanatic who falls short of rational arguments and resorts to insult !! Typical for Reza Pahlavi's fanatic followers. Just as unintelligent as their incompetent leader-from-behind!

~~~
I don't belong to any political party or ideology. It's a nasty habit of Reza Pahlavi fanatics to call anyone who calls out his incompetence or otherwise opposes him, as a chapy or raasty blah blah. It's a typical ignorant response of fanaticism which lights to categorize criticism as belonging to another tribe than that of your ideology. I have no fear of Reza Pahlavi. And I don't think the Islamic rAnd I don't think the ruling theocracy is afraid of him either. Political commentator said that there was some evidence or declaration of a former Iranian intelligence organization head that there was a directive not to assassinate RP because he does the opposition more damage by his incompetence than anyone can do. I think we witnessed that during the Mahsa movement.
I am a philosopher and a writer who likes to call out hypocrisy by such a prominent political figures whom many believe in and are putting their hopes on such a prominent political figures whom many believe in and are putting their hopes on, whom in reality is utterly incompetent and has absolutely no clue how to get anything done. Say, this with confidence is an accomplished program/project manager who knows a few things about getting things done and can detect incompetence from a mile away. I am not political and have no political ambitions, I am certainly not a political scientist. I am a computer scientist.
Reza Pahlavi comes across to some people as a good talker. Talk is cheap. And in reality, some of the most fundamental aspects of what he talks about, is flawed because it's not backed by experience or competence, or even aptitude and talent. A turtle cannot fly, no matter how much you want it to.  You can read my article for a more detailed discussion on how Reza Pahlavi mardomo gozaashte sare kaar. To find my article Google "Reza Pahlavi incompetent leader from behind"  or see it in the writings section of my site.
I am personally against monarchy form of government, especially one which is led by corrupt, useless monarchs like Iran has seen for many centuries (think of Ghajar (Qajar), etc. etc. dynasties who were just interested in their harems (different woman every night), their opium, wine -- it was all "people for the king", with exception of course. I am particularly against a monarchy with Reza Pahlavi as the monarch, because I believe COMPETENCE MATTERS!!
Yes people can argue there are some good monarchies in the world. There are also a lot of horrible monarchies in the world, like Britain -- I can't stand that Royal Family -- think of Prince (now King) Charles and what he did to Diana. Think of Prince Andrew, the arrogant, racist associate of Epstein. More here:
