Stolen Cell Phone

Stolen Cell Phone

By Reza Ganjavi

Since my new top of the line smartphone was stolen I find myself so much happier. So nice not to have to check Whatsapp and an array of other apps I could certainly do without, and that little keyboard with nothing to physically press (touching is not same as pressing), always being "connected" which is actually a form of disconnection from the real world around you, and real people, and real social media which is people you can see hear, smell feel, and last but not least, all that radiation that I'm happy to be without. So happily reverted to my old "dumb phone" and will probably buy a high-tech voice recorder for song ideas etc., though the old fashion phone can even do that.

In the old days we have no mobile telephone. We just waited till we got home to make phone calls. And we had no answering machine. If you call someone and they weren’t home just called again. Very simple. For emergency everybody else around you has a mobile phone. I’m not having one means I have a true social network which means you talk to real people instead of people who are not there, as you ride the train etc.
