I was happy to hear Dick Cheney has died. He couldn't take all the riches he had amassed in most unethical ways, he could not take with him.
George W. Bush's attack on Iraq was based on a big lie that he knew was a lie. Saddam did not have weapons of mass destruction. Even American intelligence services confirmed that. But George Bush had to attack Iraq, for alternative motives, starting with oil, money, and contracts for Halliburton, meaning Dick Cheney, and also likely, in order to try to finish a job his father could not achieve: get rid of Saddam, which was a good thing - it was a joy to see a terrible dictator hide in a hole and get dug out and then tried and brought to justice - but - the war had many bad consequences which could be considered as worse than Saddam staying in power: e.g. empowerment of terrorist organizations. It is a historic fact that terrorist groups had a much easier time recruiting young, brain washed youngsters after the war.
This article sheds light on the Halliburton conflict of interest scandal.
Cheney loaded up on a ton of conservative investments ahead of the war - and the prices of those assets went through the roof after the war. But his money, he could not take with him when he died.
George W. Bush was one of the worst presidents in the US history. He inherited a very strong economy and country from Bill Clinton and ruined it. His second term was worse, as it usually is. Even billionaires were dreading him getting reelected because they know, unlike millionaires, that greater good is to their benefit, and Bush was going to compromise and hurt the greater good, and he did. His first term, the election was handed to him by his dad's pals on the Supreme Court. Al Gore won the election but the dangling chads were dangled to Bush's favor due to political convenience of the powerful. The world would have been a very different place today if Al Gore had become a President, and perhaps Trump and his decadent morality would never see the Oval Office.
Interesting comments people wrote on the ABC news announcing his death:
Good Riddance, you war monger
The world is a much better place now....
Finally some good news.
The second most anxiously anticipated obituary in American history.
I wonder if they'll wash all the blood off his hands before he's buried or burned.
20 years ago every media personality was calling him a war criminal and called him evil and now they gush all over him, frickin weirdos..
Iraq war architect, may God unrest his soul in suffering!
Normally it is wrong to speak ill of the recently-deceased, but perhaps this is an exception. Even for many members of his own Party, it is not easy to see Cheney as anything other than a villain. He was probably the darkest figure in American history to ever be elected to a prominent political position.
This is a great day for America and the world. That man is definitely in hell. 1000%.
RIPiss
HAVE FUN IN HELL
He will always be remembered for war profiteering and criminal of war.
